Mission and Vision

The Nashua Symphony Association seeks to enrich the quality of life in southern New Hampshire through high-quality performances of orchestral and choral music, and by enhancing the music-education opportunities for citizens of all ages.

At the NSA, we feel a profound connection to our mission, and recognize that these are changing times for the arts. As we look to our future, we find that there are several core values we all share:

The NSA strives to generate civic pride, serving as a cultural focal point for the citizens of greater Nashua, through which they can deepen their relationships to music, to the city, and to each other.

By working together with the community, we can ensure that future generations will enjoy the kaleidoscopic pleasures and rich satisfactions of live music.

All of the decisions we make on a daily basis can be traced back to the core questions: Will it help us to build community through music? Will it help us bring people together? Will it support our vision of the Symphony Orchestra & Chorus as forces for good in the region?

With Jonathan McPhee on board as Music Director & Principal Conductor, we are looking forward to new energies, new relationships, new opportunities to strengthen and grow this organization. As we look to our future, we see an NSA that is strong and vibrant enough to serve as a model for other ensembles throughout the region, and the nation.
