Planned Giving
Leave a lasting legacy…
While some of the best things in life are free – a walk in the woods in autumn, time spent with family and friends, a swim in a cool mountain lake – some require sustained financial support from members of the community.
Since 1923, the Nashua Symphony Association has been bringing the very best symphonic and choral music to the citizens of southern New Hampshire. Your planned gift will help ensure this tradition of excellence for future generations: a lasting legacy that will benefit thousands of people.
What is gift planning?
Really, it’s as simple as it sounds. Gift planning is a way for you to make a significant contribution, while at the same time planning for your needs in life. Gift planning can take many forms, and even people of moderate income can serve the community in this important way while enjoying real tax benefits.
Did you know
- some assets benefit you more if you give them away?
- some gifts allow you to pass more on to your heirs and pay fewer taxes to the government?
- you can designate your planned gift to supplement annual operating costs, educational programs, or our endowment?
- giving appreciated property, like stocks or real estate, costs less than giving the equivalent amount in cash?
- life insurance can be given either as an outright gift or to fund a charitable trust?
- some gifts cost you nothing now, but leave a legacy later?
Taking the first step is easy.
Just include the NSA as part of your estate plan. Here is some sample language for an unrestricted bequest:
I hereby give $_______ (or a percentage of my residual estate (or specific assets)) to the Nashua Symphony Association, 6 Church Street, Nashua, NH 03060, to be used at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.
Of course, there are many other ways to give, and many more ways your gift can benefit (and be recognized by) the NSA and future music-lovers.
Contact your attorney, financial advisor, or the NSA office to discuss how you can include the NSA in your charitable giving plan. If you have already included the NSA in your estate plan, please let us know! We are honored to recognize our generous supporters and encourage others to join them!
